It all began in the late 1950s, when my grandfather decided to purchase a small plot of land just outside Moena. At the time, building so far from the center seemed like madness, but he had a clear dream: to create a place where travelers could be welcomed with simplicity and warmth.
In 1961, the first Soldanella was born—a house with just a few rooms and a great deal of enthusiasm. My grandfather did everything himself: he welcomed guests, cooked, and prepared the rooms. It was his way of caring for people, and it is that same spirit that continues to guide us today.
The first expansion took place in 1975, followed by others in the 1980s and in 1994, when my father made his contribution, bringing new ideas and great enthusiasm. A few years later, in 2001, my grandfather took up the challenge once again, leading up to the final expansion in 2008.
Since 2020, it is with great pride that I, Gianluca, have been carrying forward his legacy, together with my family and a team that shares the same values.
Today, Hotel La Soldanella has grown, but it has never lost its soul. We continue to believe that hospitality cannot be taught: it is passed down, lived, and felt. Every smile, every detail, and every gesture stems from a single idea: to make you feel as welcome as my grandfather did when it all began.
